We think of our work as a pathway that helps carry children along a path made up of solid education; physical, social, and emotional health; strong families; and good post-secondary opportunities.
Our work in education, research, and evaluation are our strengths in building this pathway. By combining the additional resources of community partners, we are able to build a robust and complete pipeline of support from cradle to career through which every child succeeds.
At the intersection of our 2 Generation (2Gen) framework is the child, the parent, and the community. Informed by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and the theory of change developed by Harvard’s Center for the Study of the Developing Child, the 2Gen approach works towards building strong parent and community stability. It is our belief that these are the foundations for children to realize their full potential in life.
Our four focus areas are integrated into the framework: child and community health, full service community schools, promise fulfillment network, and research and evaluation. Together they comprehensively support children, families, and the community.
